Although I did not attend this presentation because it was held at a time of an XML track,
I am including a reference to what looks like
a very good talk. It explains the rapidly growing interest in query languages and
how the W3C is trying to combine the syntax of XSL and XPointer with a query language.
It is significant to note that both the Best Presentation and Best Paper conference
awards
