Announcing Your Web Site

There are a number of places to announce your new Web site. These won't get sustained traffic, but it's a good way to start. Here are a few of them.

Net-Happenings	is a service of the Internet Scout Project in the Computer Sciences Department at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Postings are available via an email distribution list, on their Web site or via a USENET newsgroup, comp.internet.net-happenings.
Starting Point	is always on the lookout for new web sites. New submissions are added on the day they are recieved to their New Sites section, in one of twelve categories. Users vote daily to select a Hot Site.
What's New	a global site translated into several languages. List sites submitted in different categories.
What's New Too!	is an user customizable announcement service of new sites. New Sites are posted to What's New Too! within 36 hours,
New Page List	announces one new page daily to over fifteen hundred subscribers
Net News	a new announcement mailing list published every Monday.
comp.infosystems. www.announce	a newsgroups specifically for announcing new Web sites.
